Some books are meant to be read privately. Others open conversations we need to have together.
"Gather a Circle" was created for book clubs, congregations, clergy groups, grief communities, hospice and chaplaincy teams, therapists, queer organizations, and circles of friends who want to explore a more honest and expansive understanding of grief.
Your Group Will Receive
-
One private, 75-minute online book discussion with Rev. Timoth
-
Admission for up to 12 participants
-
A downloadable discussion guide for your group
During this live online gathering, Rev. Timoth will guide your group in a thoughtful conversation about the stories and ideas within Grieving Differently.
Together, we may explore:
-
What it means to “queer” traditional understandings of the stages of grief
-
The expectations society places upon grieving people
-
Why grief rarely follows an orderly path or predictable timeline
-
The difference between carrying grief and trying to “get over” it
-
How communities can better accompany people through loss
-
The questions, stories, and reflections the book stirred within your group
There will also be time for questions and conversation with Rev. Timoth.
Participants do not have to finish the book before attending. (You will not be required to share personal details about your own grief.)
